Random Thoughts
That which, on the surface, appears to be simple, can often times prove to be quite the opposite in terms of its inherent complexity. This is often true, given the tendency of humanity to err in our reasoning and in our rush to judgment. We are creatures of immediacy in that we lust for the quick and easy answer which we think best fits our immediate circumstance.
No greater manifestation of simplicity’s inherent profoundness can be found than in a child. With innocence of mind and action, we as children approached the world with a curiosity and eagerness that we begin to lack as we gain in life experiences. The world was once uncomplicated and unburdened by the cares of this world. We experienced momentary bliss, if not eternity itself, when we lived life through the carefree lens of childhood.
We were once able to, with but simple and childish words, to express the depth of life. We spoke of love unhindered and unburdened by pain. We spoke of life unburdened by the pressures imposed upon us by society. We once laughed without needing a reason to do so, but were rather filled and driven to it by the simple living of profound life.
We were once innocent, but now live defiled by the pressures of society and the experiences of life.
